The Maritime Women’s Basketball Association will host its annual general meeting in October.
A date and location will be finalized, but that doesn’t mean the work toward 2023 isn’t continuing.
‘There was an awful lot to digest after the celebration of what was accomplished subsided,’ said MWBA commissioner, Tasia McKenna. ‘An awful lot of us were on the ground floor for over two years and once our championship decided, plenty of people wanted to take some time away from the MWBA. Now we’re getting back on track with some updates and planning for next season.’
The MWBA is anticipating the return of the Original Six including champion Halifax Hornets, Halifax Thunder, Windsor Edge, Fredericton Freeze, Moncton Mystics and Port City Fog of Saint John.
More information will continue over the course of the summer and it’s also important to note, players are continuing to register for 2023 on the MWBA player portal that can be accessed at this website.
