MWBA - Maritime Womens Basketball Association

Schedule Set For Border Battle

If you’re a basketball fan, you’re going to want to be in St. Stephen, NB, April 27-28.

The Charlotte County town is a haven for basketball and has been for years.

The MWBA teams are Fredericton Freeze, Miramichi Her-icanes, Moncton Mystics and Port City Fog of Saint John.

She is Active NB will also be on hand April 27 to promote activity and physical literacy for youth attending the games. She is Active NB will also award player of the games for all teams from youth to the MWBA.

‘We are incredibly grateful to so many people on the ground in St. Stephen who have done so much in creating what should be an amazing weekend,’ said MWBA commissioner, Jen McKenzie of Dartmouth, NS. ‘Tom Liston and his World’s Oldest Basketball Court team has been absolutely amazing. Volunteers are stepping up in a big way. Our teams and our players are going to be amazed.’

There will also be a mayor’s social on Saturday night at the Garcelon Civic Centre. Mayor Allan MacEachern will be on hand to welcome the teams.
