Basketball Nova Scotia is accepting applications for head and assistant coach positions with its provincial teams for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
The deadline for application is Oct. 10.
Each year, Canada Basketball hosts its national championships for provincial and territorial uner-15 and unfer-17 teams. Nova Scotia has proudly fielded teams for over 25 years. BNS is committed to building on this tradition through strong programming, consistent leadership, and a focus on coach development.
As part of this commitment, BNS is seeking coaches who are prepared to make a two-year commitment to the program, with the potential for a third year. Coaches will undergo an annual review process that includes self-assessment, athlete and parent surveys, and feedback from BNS staff. This ensures accountability, growth, and alignment with the high standards of our program.
The2026 national championships will take place Aug. 2 to 9 with the girls’ competition hosted in Sherbrooke, QU and the boys’ competition in Regina, SK.
Interviews will be held during the weeks of Oct. 13 and Oct. 20.
Tryouts are tentatively scheduled for Nov. 15 to 16 and Nov. 22 to 23.
