Coming off a remarkably successful name-the-team contest, the crew behind the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association’s newest team is reaching out to the public once again.
This time to see the creativity of designing a logo for the Truro Tidal Queens of Colchester County, NS.
‘We had so much fun with the team naming contest and now we want the community to design the look of our expansion team in the MWBA,’ said partner, Robbie McGee. ‘We’d love to see people think about royal energy, Maritime vibes and bold, fearless women’s basketball culture.’
The contest is open to anyone including artists, designers and creators of all levels.
Some requirements include the logo with the full team name of Truro Tidal Queens or at least Tidal Queens with a focus on basketball.
The contest closes Monday, Nov. 24.

The winning creator will receive two courtside seats to each Tidal Queens’ home game and ‘the ultimate bragging rights as the official logo designer of the Truro Tidal Queens, forever,’ said McGee.
