One day after playing in Fredericton in the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association, guard Neve Pearson was announced as a new commit to the reigning Atlantic University Sport champion University of New Brunswick Reds.
Pearson played for Saint John’s Port City Fog in MWBA action Thursday night in a 76-61 setback to the hometown Fredericton Freeze.
The Rothesay product scored a dozen points in the setback.
Pearson made her USPORTS debut last season with Ottawa’s Carleton University Ravens.
She appeared in nine games as a rookie, earning 11.8 minutes per game. She secured 10 rebounds, scored 13 points and had three assists for the Ravens, who play in Ontario University Athletics conference. Carleton went 26-10.
She joins the Reds in time for defence of the AUS crown for the 2026-27 season under head coach, Erin MacAleenan.
