League Continues With Mystics’ Connections

The Moncton Mystics have been a Maritime Women’s Basketball Association staple since inception in 2022.
Moncton hosts one of the league’s best game-day events and is also busy in the community under the direction of general manager and founder, Shannon Parlee, her invaluable operations manager Judy Vautour and a cast of volunteers.
That includes the Moncton Women’s Basketball League, started by Parlee and company following the success of the MWBA team.
The league will operate once again for the 2026-27 season, featuring a fun approach to the game, but designed to get women over the age of 19 on the basketball court for some competition and comraderie.
The league operates with games on Sunday and Wednesday.
Players can play one night a week or have the opportunity to play both under what the MWBL calls ‘competitive, recreational play.’
Four teams have been the normal operating procedure, but the league has been bursting at the seams and a fifth team could be added, depending on player interest and commitment.
Registration is available for new players after returning players are automatically on a present waitlist.
Spots are definitely limited and will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.
