Domino’s Canada joined the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association as a community partner with one team.
The Fredericton Freeze and Dominos have been partners since the MWBA launched in 2022.
Now, Domino’s is taking it a step further.
The franchise is joining the MWBA as a partner to become the league’s official choice of pizza.
‘Domino’s Pizza is absolutely thrilled to team up with the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association as the official pizza supplier to the league,’ said Fredericton-based Domino’s franchise owner, Pete Richard. ‘We can’t wait to deliver fresh, hot pizza to the courts all season long. Let’s make the 2027 season a fantastic year for hoops.’
The MWBA has been working toward increased partnerships since the fifth anniversary season finished last June.
It has added Good Robot Brewing as the official brewery of the MWBA. Its two divisions will be known as the Good Robot Nova Scotia Division and Good Robot New Brunswick Division.
New Brunswick-based TRL Solutions is with the league as the official digital marketing creator of the MWBA.
Atlantic Lottery Corporation’s ProLine Stadium is the partner of the league’s Legacy Cup championship weekend.
‘We are gaining some ground in the corporate world, but we all know it’s a challenge with economic climates and competition for so many companies,’ said Anna Lee LeBlanc of Moncton, the MWBA’s director of partnerships and programs. ‘The communication with Mr. Richard and Domino’s Canada was incredibly smooth and creative for our league. They are invested in our communities across the league and we’re proud to be involved with such a dynamic company.’
