Halifax Thunder won its 22nd consecutive regular season win over two plus years, the latest a 95-64 triumph over city rival Halifax Hornets on Friday night.
The game was played at Saint Mary’s University.
Thunder is now 2-0 on the young season while the Hornets slipped to 0-2.
Sydney Guker-Wickie powered the Thunder offence with 20 points. Samantha Russell had 14 and Justine Colley-Leger chipped in with 13. Grace Lancaster had 10 in a balanced attack.
Hannah Brown had 16 for the Hornets. Amanda Pearcey scored 13.
