Fredericton rode a dominant final 20 minutes, fuelling it to an 83-54 win over visiting Moncton Mystics in Maritime Women’s Basketball Association play Wednesday at the Lady Beaverbrook Gymnasium.
The Freeze moved to 3-2 on the season. Moncton fell to 0-4.
Vanessa Soffee powered Fredericton with a game-high 17 points including 11 in the second half. Bailey Russell was right behind Soffee with 16 and Eva Tumwine popped a dozen.
Addie Albert was a thorn in Fredericton’s side with 14 points. Celine Sterckel had 10 and Sadie Bowen and Olivia Mowatt had nine apiece.
