i) provide competitive brand of play for players
ii) foster women's basketball for all players, coaches, managers, officials, team executives, marketing, fans, etc
iii) promote interest, involvement, and development in women's basketball
i) foster and encourage high-quality women's basketball through a competitive environment while increasing women in coaching, management, public relations, business, and other pursuits, and encourage long-term athletic development
ii) supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion. The MWBA and its member teams recognize Canada’s long history of systemic racism and bias especially as it impacts women. The MWBA will, through providing a competitive women’s basketball league, champion equity, and inclusion, stand up against anti-Black racism, anti-Indigenous racism, be allies within the 2SLGBTQ+ community and prioritize the safety of women
iii) not withstanding anything else to the contrary herein, the MWBA has been established exclusively for not-for-profit purposes, and will at all times be operated exclusively for not-for-profit purposes
