The Halifax Hornets are at home this weekend.
Not an easy place to play in the confines of Mount St. Vincent University.
Port City Fog of Saint John certainly found that out Saturday night as the Hornets earned a 91-47 win in the middle game of Saturday’s three-outing slate.
Halifax moved to 3-1 on the season, alone in second place with six points. Port City slipped to 1-4 and sit fifth overall.
Alaina McMillan scored 16 points to power the Hornets. Chanel Smith sunk 13 and Jasmine Parent checked in with 10.
Rachel Farwell, the MVP of this season’s USPORTS women’s championship with then Ryerson University Rams of Toronto, drilled 20 points to lead the Fog and all scorers.
The Hornets face Fredericton Freeze on Sunday at 1 p.m. while the Fog tangles with Windsor Edge two hours earlier.
