If you’re looking for a run and a workout, the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association has three open gyms scheduled for February.
The first session is Sunday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Richard J. Currie Center Rec Gym 1 on the campus of the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.
The fee is $5 per person, per session.
Please note this is an open gym for players 19 and over and is not being used as a tryout for the MWBA team.
‘We have had several requests to find some gym time to get out and get some workouts in,’ said Freeze general manager, Brad Janes. ‘It’s a chance to have some laughs and work up a sweat, that’s all.’
Players are asked to wear a reverse jersey for scrimmage purposes.
Payments can be made through e-transfer at frederictonfreezemwba@outlook.com
Other sessions are scheduled for Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the RJCC Rec Gym 2 and Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the RJCC Rec Gym 2 if numbers warrant.
