Can the Lake City 56ers remain undefeated?
That’s one of several storylines fans of the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association will following as Week II of Season IV opens Saturday.
Lake City sits at 2-0 on the young season and marks its first home game, welcoming the Halifax Hornets to Cole Harbour High School. Game time is 3 p.m.
The Hornets enter at 1-0.
The other Saturday game has Fredericton Freeze (1-0) facing Miramichi Her-Icanes (0-1).
That tilt unfolds at 7 p.m. at Miramichi Valley High School.
The 56ers are on the home floor Sunday as well, welcoming Halifax Thunder for a 3 p.m, game.
A scheduled Saturday game between host Port City Fog and Moncton Mystics will be re-scheduled.
Both teams are working on a new date.
