A well-balanced offence gave the Lake City 56ers reason to celebrate team success Saturday afternoon in Cole Harbour.

Lake City used scoring from every player in its lineup and defeated the Truro Tidal Queens, 87-64, at Cole Harbour High School.

The 56ers moved to 1-2 on the young season and Truro slipped to 0-2 in its first year.

Oliva Logan paced Lake City and all scorers with 16 points. Emily MacNeil popped 12 and Victoria Fournier added nine.

Zoe Mombourquette had 11 for Truro. Lucia MacKay scored nine.
