The Lake City 56ers left Dartmouth/Cole Harbour/Preston with one thing in mind.

Get a win in Truro.

Mission accomplished.

The 56ers downed host Truro Tidal Queens, 81-48, thanks in large part to a pair of big second and third quarters on the offensive side.

Lake City improved to 2-3. Expansion Truro is winless in four outings.

Lauren Armstrong’s 13 point outing lifted the 56ers. Olivia Logan scored 10 and Emily MacNeil meshed 10.

Courtney Cain-Nordin paced all players for Truro with 16 points. Lucia MacKay had 10 and Isabella MacKay nine.

Lake City looks to even its record when it hosts Miramichi HerIcanes Sunday at 3 p.m.

That game unfolds at Cole Harbour High School.

Truro travels into Halifax to play the Hornets at 2:30 p.m., at Mount St. Vincent University.
