MWBA Pros Earn Wins

Two players from Nova Scotia-based Maritime Women’s Basketball Association teams earned victories in Europe over the weekend.

Elizabeth Iseyemi and her BAD Heidelberg team improved to 4-0 in the Germany-2.Bundsliga circuit, downing Rhein-Main, 82-46.

Iseyemi, who was a first team MWBA all-star last season, played 18 minutes. She had eight points, five rebounds and two steals in the victory.

Alaina McMillan, the MVP of the league’s Pro*Line Stadium Legacy Cup final with the Halifax Thunder, saw her Arras Pays D’Artois team improve to 5-1 with an 81-42 win over Marne La Vallee on the weekend.

McMillan erupted for 25 points in the win. She added four rebounds, three assists and four steals.

Arras Pay faces Aubervilliers Avenir Basketball next week.
