The #WeAreHere MWBA off-season campaign continues with the re-introduction of the Fog, established in Port City (Saint John, NB).

The Port City Fog are one of the few inaugural MWBA teams and have appeared in one final in their history.

Being an inaugural and staple part of the organization, they drew the biggest crowd in league history in 2023 at TD Station, with 1,045 attendees when they played for the Legacy Cup versus the Halifax Thunder.

The Fog had a great season in 2026, including some standout players and performances, including Ella MacDonald, Neve Pearson, Grace Tilley, and Celine Sterckel who were MWBA Player of the Week nominees.

Ella MacDonald scored a franchise season-high of 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in the Fog’s home opener on May 3, 2026, against the Miramichi Her-icanes.

Clancy MacIntyre, Amelia Mitchell, and Ella MacDonald all also scored 10 points or more over two separate games.

The off-season work continues for the Fog as they gear up for 2027 with facility bookings, roster forecasting, and team initiatives.

The team was founded by Jillian Wilton, and ownership was transferred to Paul Hickey in 2023.
