The Halifax Hornets found some sting in their game again.

Halifax, mired in a four-game losing slide, righted its ship at home Sunday in an 89-68 win over the Windsor Edge.

Hornets moved to 2-4 and into a fourth place tie with the idle Moncton Mystics for fourth place. Each team has four points.

Edge fell to 0-6.

Hannah Brown continued her solid play for the Hornets, leading the offensive charge with 17 points. Jasmine Parent added a dozen. Jayla Verney counted 10 and Courtney Donaldson, Toni Bianchini and Alisha McNeil all had nine.

Isa MacKay paced all scorers, popping 19 for the Edge. Ithandi Munro popped 11, Tyler Malloy scored nine and Kate Gallant added eight.

League action resumes Wednesday when the Hornets host Halifax Thunder at 7 p.m. at Mount St. Vincent University.

Moncton visits Port City Fog of Saint John on Thursday before all teams gather in Halifax at Saint Mary’s University for six games on Saturday and Sunday.
