It was neck-and-neck for almost three-and-a-half quarters.
Then the Thunder found lightning.
Halifax Thunder watched hometown Fredericton close to within six in the fourth quarter, but the visitors poured it on late, posting a 76-61 Maritime Women’s Basketball Association game Sunday.
The game capped a six-game weekend in New Brunswick’s Capital City with all six entrants in town.
Tiffany Reynolds paced a balanced Thunder offence with 15 points. Katie Upham had nine and Karla Yepez meshed eight. Shannon Platt scored eight.
Leah Bowers knocked down a dozen for Fredericton, all from beyond the arc. Kylee Speedy had nine and Robbi Daley seven.
