Windsor Edge did what it had to do to keep the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association standings tight.

The Edge entered weekend play in Halifax with a 1-2 mark and came out with a pair of wins to improve to 3-2 following an 81-52 victory over Saint John’s Port City Fog.

The game kicked off day two of tournament-styled action at Mount St. Vincent University.

Port City will leave Halifax with a 1-5 overall mark entering its road game Thursday in Fredericton against the Freeze.

Karissa Kajorinne wiped out an early Fog lead, exploding for 32 points to lead Windsor and all scorers. Kajorinne fired up six three-pointers as part of her offensive fireworks. Tiffany Reynolds contributed 19 to the attack and Chelsea Slawter-Wright dropped 10.

Rachel Farwell had 15 for Port City. Kaylee Kilpatrick sunk a dozen.
