There has been plenty of team and personal success in Atlantic University Sport this season, setting up what is sure to be an exciting stretch drive.
And a number of players in the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association have reached and surpassed personal milestones along the way with their AUS clubs.
Reese Baxendale of the University of New Brunswick Reds slid past the 1,000 point plateau this season. The bulk of her AUS points were scored during a dynamic four-year career with University of Prince Edward Island Panthers, but she is finishing her fifth season in her home province with the Reds.
Two of her UNB teammates also eclipsed the 500-point mark in the AUS.
Both Katie Butts and Kylee Speedy of Fredericton Freeze went past the key number in January.
Katie Upham of St. Francis Xavier University X-Women is another AUS player who eclipsed the 500-point plateau this season. Upham spent last season in the MWBA with reigning champion Halifax Thunder
The MWBA congratulates Baxendale, Butts, Speedy and Upham for the personal milestones.
