Homecoming for Fog Sisters

It’s going to be a homecoming for a pair of Port City Fog players.

In fact, the sisters will play on their old court as teammates for the first time in ages.

That’s what’s in store for fans in Charlotte County as the Maritime Women’s Basketball Association comes to St. George on Saturday night.

The Fog – and local sister act of Erin and Meg Ingalls – will welcome Halifax Thunder to Fundy Middle High School in the town of just under 1,700 people that has produced perennial New Brunswick interscholastic championship-calibre teams as the Mariners.

Port City comes in with a 1-6 mark and Thunder starts a busy stretch of action, bringing a 3-2 record to the Fundy Bay Shores.

Game time is 6 p.m.

The busy Saturday actually begins in Moncton when the hometown Mystics welcome the Halifax Hornets to Crandall University for a 4 p.m. contest.

Moncton sits at 1-6 and Halifax brings a 2-5 mark into the Hub City showdown.

An intriguing Saturday night game unfolds at the Lady Beaverbrook Gymnasium in Fredericton when the hometown Freeze welcome Miramichi Her-Icanes.

The game is set for 7 p.m.

It’s also Fredericton Fusion youth basketball celebration at the Freeze/Canes outing.
