The Maritime Women’s Basketball Association has three full seasons in the books.
As the MWBA prepares for Season IV in the spring of 2025, it’s interesting to note there have been 30 regular season games all-time for six of the seven franchises excluding last year’s expansion Miramichi Hericanes.
However, no player has played in all 30 regular season games.
Some are close.
There are three players who have appeared in 29 games for the only team they’ve played for.
Jasmine Parent of the Halifax Hornets, Robbi Daley of Fredericton Freeze and Kaylee Kilpatrick of Saint John’s Port City Fog have all played 29 out of 30 games for their respective squads.
Jenna Jones and Kelly Vass of Moncton Mystics are next with 28 games played.
Let’s take a spin around the MWBA and see who leads each team in all-time regular season games, thanks to Nova Scotia’s Allan April for his statistical data.
Parent leads the Hornets with 29 games played and Alisha McNeil is next with 22.
Daley’s 29 leads the Freeze and Eva Tumwine is second on that squad with 24.
Kilpatrick’s company in Port City is Amelia Mitchell and her 27 appearances.
Jones and Vass are tied atop Moncton’s board and Kelsey McLaughlin is next with 26.
Kiera Duffie and Sydney Guker-Wickie share top appearances with Halifax Thunder with 19 games played. Grace Wade is next with 18.
Emily MacNeil’s 21 games are the most with Lake City 56ers of Dartmouth/Cole Harbour. She is joined by Sydney Foran’s 19. Lake City started its MWBA sojourn for two seasons as the Windsor Edge.
Miramichi’s Alexa Rancourt, reigning league MVP Lauren Rainford, Georgia Bell and Aiden Raincourt played in all 10 games for Miramichi last season, sharing top spot with the first-year team.
